How does Protective Life’s PLB EZ-App work?
The Protective Life PLB EZ-App program is designed to allow agents to submit life insurance to Protective Life via a paperless process. Business is transmitted quicker and with greater efficiencies. Redundant efforts to populated agent, agency and company systems with the same data are eliminated.
Protective Life PLB EZ-App takes advantage of the TeleLife® pre-application process and electronic signatures. Here is how it works:
- Questions that will populate state specific forms.
- Once all questions are answered, the agent certifies that the information is accurate by reviewing the summary page and checking the electronic signature box.
- The completed information is then submitted electronically and TeleLife® processing begins.
- Transmission of information over the Internet is protected through encryption.
- Protective Life PLB EZ-App assigns a policy number to the application. You can print the confirmation page.

****Applicant/owner/proposed insured signatures are still obtained in person, during the paramed exam, as part of the regular TeleLife® process which is done thru the vendor.
WHEN CAN I NOT USE TELELIFE?
- Face amount is greater than 5 million
- Application will have more than two policy owners
- Application is for a policy change
- The proposed insured is younger than 18 years of age or older than 80
- The applicant will utilize a Premium Financing Option
- The applicant is an active military personnel.
- The applicant is a trial/informal application
